The surprise proposal party, with much help from Chere Weddings, was just the right amount of public (fit for a Leo girl!) and private, with our friends and family as witnesses.
Throw in a surprise trip, jetting to Tokyo that very night at 5am... with tickets bought, itinerary planned - it was really my dream come true!

I'm not an easy person to surprise.
Either some friends will spill the beans by accident,
or I will detect some unusual activity that is telling of an upcoming surprise.
But everyone came together this time round
and pulled the biggest one on me!
My family, my friends, my wedding planner - they were all in on this.
My mum was happily picking out clothes
and asking me to pluck her eyebrows for her urgently the night before,
and I had no suspicion at all as she was preparing for a trip overseas,
so I thought she just wanted to look good for the trip.
First my wedding planner booked myself and EinEin
to perform for a solemnisation ceremony at 22 Dempsey.
I was informed I would be singing 3 songs for Oscar and Imelda's wedding.
(who obviously did not exist!)
The timing for the soundcheck was rather different than the usual,
since it was a 1pm-2pm soundcheck,
after which there was a 3 hour wait before we returned for the ceremony at 5pm.
Still I didn't suspect a thing.
I arrived, chatted with my wedding planner (who was setting up for my own party),
asked them about the couple, and listened to them cook up stories
and suspecting NOTHING.
After the soundcheck, me and EinEin took off to chill at PS Cafe, waiting for 5pm.
(That was in fact a great way for EinEin to keep track of my whereabouts just before the proposal)
So there I was, gossiping and chatting and yakking away with my dear EinEin
as she looked at me lovingly and basking in the glow of love and secrecy
and thinking... "Awwww she's gonna be proposed to today and she doesn't know a thing...."
Fast forward to 5pm...
